Split NDB data node sync (no replies)

Dear Experts,

We have a NDB cluster with below setup

Site A
SQL & MGM node on Server-A-1
Data node on Server-A-2

Site B
Data node on Server-B-1


Question:

Above setup is live and the applications are using the NDB cluster. I would like to know if there is a way to stop the inter data-node sync/query as it seems some performance issues observed due network delays.....

Can we operate both data nodes independently, Obviously we do not want to redeploy the cluster all over again
