Query Reg MySQL HA Support for Linux Cluster system (3 replies)

I have some queries about MySQL support for HA CG systems.

We have cluster system developed on GNU Linux and runs of aTCA platform which supports High Availibity applications. Now we are planning to replace the existing
Database in our system to a open source database which has cabaility of HA support and high performance.

I am going through the MySQL cluster and cluster CGE docs to understand it's working behavior ..etc.

I have below queries regarding the same.

- What is main difference b/w MySql cluster and MySql Cluster CGE engines?
- Will MySQL supports HA state? I found that it supports HA by using the DRBD kernel module. So is MYSQL HA configuration depends on DRBD tool?
- Does MySQL supports HA configuration without the DRBD tool?
- If we choose MySQL, What are main advanatges we get compare to other existing opensource databases in market?

Can any one provide some information on the same?
