error 2352: Invalid LCP (no replies)

I tried to restart a datanode after a configuration change, forgot the --initial and got following error:

ndb_mgm> Node 1: Forced node shutdown completed. Occured during startphase 5. Caused by error 2352: 'Invalid LCP(Ndbd file system inconsistency error, please report a bug). Ndbd file system error, restart node initial'.

I restarted the datanode with --initial, but I keep on getting the same error.

How can I safely restore my node?
